The event focused on the theme:
"Shaping the Future: Education and Training as Key to Competitiveness in Additive Manufacturing"
Hosts Prof. Zoltan Major and Dr. Martin Reiter presented JKU’s IPPE. The following keynotes by Thomas Gruber (Trivion), on “AM Know-How – Practical Needs”, and Sebastian Geyer (FH Campus Wien), on “Design for AM – DigiPhot”, served as a basis for small group discussions. A tour of the LIT Factory concluded the program.

Visit to the TU Space Team
and TU Racing Team

On the evening before the 3D-Printing Forum, we visited the workshops of the two TU teams. The students presented their projects and then guided us through their facilities, where everything could be viewed in detail. The teams were highly motivated, and alongside many interested members, we were pleased to welcome Stefanie Brickwede from the mga-net platform and Prof. Christian Seidel from Munich.

In the morning, two presentations followed by discussions took place:

"Coldspray as an AM Technology for New Parts and Part Optimization" – Michael Kitzmantel, RHP Technology
After a joint lunch, we began the networking meeting at Schoeller Bleckmann in Ternitz. Multiple presentations from our members and an extensive factory tour, including the newly installed AM areas, attracted great interest.

ATIMA WORKSHOP,
Vienna (TUtheSky)
The ATIMA project, Austria’s "Advanced and Innovative Materials" community, is coordinated by BNN. The consortium includes the platforms A2LT, AM-Austria, nanoNET-AT, ASMET, smart textiles, and BNN.
One of the project’s goals is to establish and expand this community. In addition, ATIMA aims to establish the topic of advanced materials in Austria, further develop its content, and generate future-oriented impulses from within the community. This interactive workshop laid the foundation for developing a roadmap for AdMa in Austria and offered the opportunity to discuss relevant international activities with key stakeholders.

FORMNEXT: Trade fair Frankfurt, 7 - 10. 11. 2023
This year, we were once again present at the AUSSENWIRTSCHAFT AUSTRIA group stand and showcased the achievements of the Austrian AM sector with many of our members.
Dr. Wolfgang E. G. Hansal, Institute of Electrochemistry, Electroplating and Materials Chemistry, presented the book “Post-Processing of 3D-printed metal parts”, which will be published in spring 2024. The subsequent get-together was followed by further discussions over snacks and drinks.

A lecture event was held at the FH Kufstein Tirol in which various aspects of industrial additive manufacturing were highlighted and discussed. Our coordinator Agnes Parfy presented our initiative at this event.

AM-Austria represented for the first time at FORMNEXT in Frankfurt.
A very successful Formnext recently came to an end. The Austrian joint stand was the center of attraction in Hall 11.0. We were able to welcome not only well-known players from the industry, but also many new interested parties and to exchange ideas and network with representatives of European AM platforms.
The next Formnext will take place from 07.-10.11.2023, of course again with a supported joint booth of AUSSENWIRTSCHAFT.

On February 20, 2020, we were invited to hold our networking meeting at 1zu1 – Prototypes (our member) in Dornbirn. It was a successful event with exciting lectures, project presentations and a joint dinner.

The first general meeting was successfully held in the first quarter of 2019. The meeting took place on Thursday, March 7, 2019, from 13:00 to 16:30 in Linz.On October 7, 2019, we organized a members' meeting at RHP - one of our members, in Seibersdorf.
events 2018
In 2018, we organized our founding convention on February 23, 2018, at the BMVIT in Vienna, with around 90 visitors. On June 25, 2018, our initial working group kick-off workshop took place in the Expat Center in Vienna. Approximately 60–70 representatives from the AM industry participated in this workshop. On September 18, 2018, our first official general meeting at the TU in Vienna took place; approximately 60 representatives from our member companies attended.
BRANCHEN-EVENTS 2018
The team members of AM-Austria have been active in the AM industry for many years and vigorously represent and communicate for AM-Austria in all their activities. In 2018, AM-Austria was represented at the following industry events, conferences and trade fairs.
May 15, 2018: AM-Austria @ Austrian 3D Printing Forum 2018 – AM-Austria shared a joint exhibition booth with the lead project addmanu, was media partner with the organizer, and provided the moderation by Dr Johannes Homa (AM-Austria – President) and a keynote, including AM-Austria's presentation by Prof Jürgen Stampfl (AM Austria – Advisory Board). September 27/28, 2018: AM-Austria was positioned at the Add+it conference in Steyr by presenting a roll-up and flyer documents. A web link and logo exchange between AM-Austria and the conference organizer, Profactor, was set up. Link to the program
October 9/10, 2018: AM Austria @ AM Ceramics – AM-Austria participated by delivering a short presentation through Dr Johannes Homa and with a booth including brochures, flyers and roll-up.
October 10, 2018: AM-Austria participated in the seminar for event quality assurance and testing of additively manufactured components at the Montanuniversität Leoben. Additionally, AM-Austria conducted a media partnership and mutual communication with the organizer. Link to the program
