Strategy project 1
‘Roadmap Additive Manufacturing Austria’
In 2018, intensive work was carried out on the strategy project called ‘Roadmap Additive Manufacturing Austria’. The aim was to develop a holistic and cross-institutional Austrian roadmap on the subject of additive manufacturing in Austria.
Commissioned by the BMVIT, the project was jointly implemented by the Montan University, ASMET and AIT, with the participation of AM Austria and our members as well as ecoplus—the business agency of Lower Austria.
Within the project, a preparatory survey and four design workshops in Innsbruck, Leoben, Vienna and Linz were organised. The first interim results became available at the Forum Alpbach on August 22, and at the AM Austria general meeting on September 18 in Vienna.
The final results were presented to the public for the first time on November 21, 2018, as part of a press conference at the MAM Conference in Vienna.
