Vienna, 1 August 2026 – Verband 3DDruck e.V. and Additive Manufacturing Austria (AM-Austria) e. V. are set to work more closely together in future.
Through this partnership, the two associations are combining their networks in Germany and Austria. The aim is to intensify professional exchange across national borders, to strengthen links between stakeholders from industry, academia and other fields of application, and to further advance additive manufacturing in German-speaking countries.
The collaboration is intended to facilitate an open exchange on technological developments, industrial applications and key future issues in additive manufacturing. Among other things, the plan is for mutual participation in working groups and specialist forums. Furthermore, the partners aim to facilitate access to information, expertise and events, and to support networking amongst their members.
New opportunities for collaboration are also expected to arise in future in relation to cross-border projects, research activities and studies. To this end, both associations will contribute their respective contacts with companies, research institutions, users and other stakeholders. Joint topics and activities will also be promoted through communication channels and made accessible to a wider public.

It touches on key issues for the future of our industry – from mass production and digital value creation, through to resilient supply chains, sustainability, regulation and standards,” says Ralf Anderhofstadt, Chairman of the 3DDruck Association. “If we want to play an active role in shaping this development, we must pool expertise across sectors and national borders. The partnership with AM-Austria is an important step in this direction.”
